Dr. Rowan had the opportunity to attend some valuable classes in Baltimore, MD this February. The classes were on dental x-rays, proper dental extractions, recognizing dental disease, and jaw fractures. Three days was spent attending great labs and lectures by Dr. Ira Luskin, veterinary dental specialist.
Dental disease is one of the most common problems we see in pets at a veterinary practice. Many of these pet’s mouths are sore and we don’t even know it because they hide there pain so well. At Pandosy Vet Hospital, we plan on making your pets dental health a priority by offering digital dental x-rays, skilled cleanings, and proper extractions when necessary. Of course, prevention is key including brushing in susceptible breeds, soft chews , specialized diets and treats designed to prevent tartar, and a trained eye to recognize disease before it becomes a major problem.
