Warm greetings
Pandosy Village Veterinary Hospital's front desk doubles as our treat counter, so it's definitely most dogs' favourite place in the hospital.
Usually we check you in and seat you in the consultation room right away, but if you need to wait, we have spacious, comfortable waiting areas spread out throughout the shop.
Cat-friendly care
Cats have different needs than dogs, and we know they appreciate space, warmth and quiet. When you arrive with your cat, we will whisk you into a small, cozy exam room so your cat has a chance to climb out of their carrier and explore the space. We have "happy cat" pheromones in the room and soft furnishing, which really help cats chill. When they receive treatment, we use no-stress handling and a light touch, to cause minimal feline stress.
Cozy consultation rooms
We've been told by some pet parents that their best friends have no idea they are visiting the doctor, and that's fine with us.
In the consultation rooms, we have cozy leather benches, cushy beds and warm brick walls. One of our capable nurses will first chat with you about your pet's medical history, and then one of our veterinarians will discuss your best friend's health concerns with you. We often examine pets on the bench or floor - wherever they are most comfortable. We have yoga mats for comfort and soft music playing: our focus is on keeping pets and their people relaxed.
Medical and herbal pharmacy
In our vet clinic, we focus on preventative health as well as addressing illness and disease. Our in-house veterinary pharmacy stocks conventional medicines, as well as herbal remedies, probiotics, fish oils, vitamins and other nutraceuticals.
At the front desk, there are many over-the-counter Pandosy Village Veterinary Hospital Apothecary herbal remedies to address issues such as arthritis, anxiety, etc. Dr. Rowan can also create a custom herbal remedy for your best friend's health concerns, which the nurses mix in our own pharmacy.
Bright, sound-proof spaces for cats & dogs in care
Pandosy Village Veterinary Hospital has a full surgical suite, dental and skeletal radiography, and state-of-the-art treatment facilities. Our veterinarians and the nurses operate in our day-light surgical suite and perform a variety of out patient procedures in the treatment room. To recuperate after procedures, we have separate rooms for big dogs, small dogs and cats.
The cat condos have their own sound-proof room, with full windows overlooking the street. The design of their space reflects how seriously we take feline comfort! Each cat condo has a separate area for litter, and a comfy kitty bed.
The big dog room has glass doors for increased interaction between the pups and the staff, as well as a lowered ceiling to muffle sound. The small dog recovery area doesn't face the big dogs, as they can find that intimidating. Instead, they are in a high traffic hallway with a view of the treatment area, so they don't get lonely.
Each dog run has a cozy, clean bed to ease sore joints and help the dogs recover in comfort.
