Celebrate Pride Week with rainbow pet accessories

August 11, 2015

This week, we are happy to by supporting our local LGBTQ community by decorating our business windows in rainbows, and challenging other local businesses to do the same. Pride Week is important to us because we have friends, family and clients who are a part of this community. We are allies because we value what the rainbow flag represents: love, acceptance, diversity and celebration of all kinds of families.

Last year, Pride Week was the week right before we opened our shop and clinic. How a year has flown by! The sunny day at the family festival was our unofficial opening, and we won't soon forget how we were received with warmth by the Kelowna community. Our small supply of rainbow collars and pet shirts sold out, and we vowed to return to the festival the next year with more rainbow everything for pets!

Our Pounce & Hound Fine Pet Goods shop is now full of rainbow collars, leads, bandanas and bowties for pets that want to dress up for the Pride Parade August 15, 2015. We even have rainbow bowls! Our store and staff will also be on site at the Saturday Festival at the Beach with other LGBTQ-friendly businesses. We hope you and your family will join us celebrating Kelowna's wonderful diversity.

Have a lovely summer week! See you at the festival this weekend! Dr. Jason, Arnica, Hannah and Aleks
