Ultrasound, Radiology & Laboratory Diagnostics
Ultrasound Diagnostics
Pandosy Village Veterinary Hospital offers in-clinic ultrasound diagnostics in collaboration with an external imaging provider. The ultrasound images are sent to veterinary radiologists for review, allowing our veterinary team to gain a better understanding of your pet’s health and determine the most appropriate next steps for their care.
Oral sedation is recommended by our veterinarians to help keep your pet calm, comfortable, and relaxed during their ultrasound appointment. This helps make their experience as stress-free as possible!
One of our registered veterinary technologists (RVTs) will contact you ahead of your pet’s appointment to discuss the sedation requirements and go over all the necessary details. If oral sedation is prescribed, we’ll arrange to have the medication prepared for you to pick up before your pet’s scheduled ultrasound appointment.
Typically, pets are dropped off in the morning for their ultrasound appointment and are ready to head home by the afternoon. While your pet is with us, you’re welcome to enjoy a coffee or explore the neighbourhood! Once your pet is ready to go home, one of our lovely RVTs will give you a call to arrange a pickup time. After we receive and review the ultrasound report, one of our veterinarians will contact you to discuss the results and any recommended next steps for your pet’s care.
Radiology
Our hospital offers digital radiology, which includes digital dental x-rays, full body x-rays, and assessments such as OFA and PennHip. Dr.Dani is certified in PennHip assessments for hip dysplasia.
Laboratory
Our in-house laboratory enables us to run certain blood panels and urine tests quickly, which means you'll get your pet's results in a timely manner. We do also work with an outside reference laboratory, which offers a wider range of diagnostic testing and cultures if needed.
