Deck out your pooch in rainbows and join us at Kelowna's Pride Festival!

Saturday is Okanagan Pride's Festival on the Beach - awesome rainbow fun for the whole family (dogs included!) Celebrate diversity with rainbow pet gear! How to enter in the "Pooches on Parade" event below...

This is the third year we have joined the festivities to celebrate Pride Week. Every year we celebrate with more rainbows, and we are super excited for more businesses to join in. News: our local Pandosy Village Business Association has declared our neighbourhood "Rainbow Village" for this week and is encouraging all services and merchants to hang the rainbow flag. The more participation the better!

If you are wondering why we are so passionate about Pride and supporting our LGTBQ community, here's why:

1. Rainbows are awesome;
2. We want to demonstrate support for our amazing LGTBQ clients, staff and family; and
3. Only by celebrating diversity will we enable all people to be loved and appreciated for who they are.
That pretty much sums it up!

The Pride Rally & March starts at 11am in Stuart Park (led by the Premier this year,) and ends in City Park 1/2 hour later... that's where you will find us! At the Pride Festival on the Beach, we'll have all sorts of rainbow pet gear on hand. But if you'd like a rainbow tutu, collar or scarf for your dog beforehand, please stop by our Pounce & Hound store to stop up on rainbow gear!

We hope to see many of you at the Pride Week Festival on the Beach (we have the busiest booth!) and Pooches on Parade, sponsored by our friends at Tailblazers. (Hint... there is a best rainbow outfit category! Lots of ideas in our store!) Last year our own Tully won for "best dog to pick up a date" but he's not competing this year ;-)

Sign up your dog for the Pooches on Parade contest. (Hint... there is a best rainbow outfit category! Lots of ideas in our store!)
